lace snail
Hella Jongerius via karinThis reminds me of a story that I loved when I was little called The Lace Snail. It's about a snail that makes lace as it travels along. Apparently, we had to check it out of the library repeatly and it required a nightly reading.

As a gardener, I have had a love/hate relationship with snails ... they are really quite beautiful, and tenacious, and I'm always amazed at how high they can climb.
