I was inspired by the sun today (and warmth! and not having to wear a jacket!) and finally did a little planting. I look forward to eating basil with everything (I recently read a recipe for peach and basil sangaria...I forget where, of course). The planter and dish were recently thrifted.

Basil is wonderful ... in the last place where we lived we had hundreds of plants in the garden ... so many that I was getting tired of it, getting tired of making all that pesto ... but what a smell everytime I went out there! now I have none ... S.
I love that planter, our basil is growing out of control this year.
We have been making lots and lots of pesto. It does smell really nice though when we are hanging out in our backyard.
