this is good

Yesterday, I made this apple tart from Orangette. It's so simple, delicious and apple-ly due to apple syrup you make (using the cores, so thrifty!) and brush over the tart. Next time, I think I will add a little vanilla, cinnamon and lemon zest to the syrup. I subbed coconut oil for butter and spelt flour for wheat.

I also recommend the stuffed tomatoes. Heavenly.

UPDATE: Karynlikedit as well (I made 2 tarts and gave her one)!

The idea of glazing the tart using apple syrup you made from the left overs is not only thrifty but tasty and nutritious...
